A collaboration from Whole Milk and Daniel Dale Johnston. Daniel Johnston was an American singer-songwriter and visual artist regarded as a significant figure in outsider, lo-fi, and alternative music scenes. Most of his work consisted of cassettes recorded alone in his home, and his music was frequently cited for its "pure" and "childlike" qualities. Johnston himself struggled with mental illness and his most famous visual art is titled 'Hi, How Are You?' which has evolved to encourage mental health support. The first Hi, How Are You Day was started Austin, Texas in 2018 to encourage everyone to check in on a neighbor, friend, co-worker, or loved ones and ask “Hi, How Are You?” and really mean it.
We are proud to share this collection and support the mission to remove the stigma around mental health. A portion of all profits goes to the Hi How Are You Project.
